The TFSS Emergency Food Fund, powered by the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund, provides grocery cards to students in urgent situations.  

There are many students across our city who do not have consistent access to enough food. For some, coming to school hungry is a daily challenge; for others, a sudden change in circumstances can mean there is simply not enough food at home. When children experience hunger, it affects more than just their physical health. It also impacts their emotional well-being and ability to learn and participate fully in school. 

The Emergency Food Fund is designed to provide kids here in Toronto with immediate support when food insecurity becomes a barrier to learning. By helping them access nourishing food during critical moments, the fund supports their ability to stay engaged and thrive at school.
