Food For Kids Bus Tour

On Wednesday March 29th, the 1st Annual Food For Kids Bus Tour took off, taking a group of partners and supporters, passionate about food and child nutrition, to see Student Nutrition Programs in action. Guests travelled “student-style” on a school bus and saw nutrition programs in action. Following the school visits, guests gathered at the historic St. Lawrence Market for lunch with food provided by Market merchants.

Student Nutrition Programs in Toronto provide children and youth with over 218,000 nutritious meals every school day. When we’re talking about student nutrition, it’s simple: if you’re hungry, it’s hard to focus, and if you can’t focus, you can’t learn. To level the playing field for our most vulnerable students, we need to ensure that they are well-nourished so that they face one less barrier to graduating from school. To learn more, click here.
