A new report released by Food Banks Canada shows that there were nearly 1.5 million food bank visits in March – 35% higher than in 2019. One third of food bank clients are children. As Food Banks Canada CEO, Kirstin Beardsley, says “When you’re going to school hungry, you’re not learning, you’re not focusing, you’re not setting yourself up to thrive.”
