TDSB / TFSS Day with the Toronto Marlies Recap!
Over 6,500 students from more than 85 schools cheered on the Toronto Marlies for the 8th annual TDSB / TFSS Day at the Marlies. Every year the crowd grows, as does the energy. This year was no different. Thank you for bringing school spirit, cheers and excitement!
We at the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS) want to extend a warm thank you for your participation and support. Together we raised $20,000 to help provide food, medical care, emergency funds and after school programs for TDSB students in need. For more information about how we help TDSB students, please explore our website: www.tfss.ca.
The whole stadium joined in as students from Humbercrest Public School beautifully sang the Canadian and American anthems while students from William G. Davis Junior Public School displayed a giant flag on the ice. Students from Heritage Park Public School and Presteign Heights Elementary School had the opportunity to line up with the players, as this year’s Future Starters.
Four lucky students from Pauline Junior Public School kept us entertained while flooding the ice, as our 2016 Zamboni Riders. Rolph Road Elementary School and Sir Ernest MacMillian Senior Public School helped us usher the Marlies onto the ice with a tunnel of “high-fives”. Thanks for everyone’s participation!
The ultimate highlight, though, was the amazing comeback the Marlies made, winning the game 3 - 2 in overtime!
The TDSB / TFSS Day at the Marlies will be back for its 9th consecutive year on February 21, 2018. Mark your calendars now! We had a complete sell out game this year and anticipate one next year too.
DID YOU KNOW: last year the price of fresh fruit and vegetables increased by 18%? Experts anticipate this number will continue to grow. To counter this, join in our Virtual Apple Campaign. To help put healthy food in the hands of TDSB students, help us by raising funds through the Virtual Apple Drive. Money raised will be directly used to support school based nutrition and food related programs. For more information, please click here or email Elaine.firstname.lastname@example.org.

One last time, thank you. We simply couldn’t do what we do without your continued support.
