Feed Tomorrow: ACE Bakery Staff Supporting After-School Program

TORONTO, October 16, 2017 – One out of three children here in Toronto lives in poverty and  more than 195,000 children and youth rely on breakfast, snack or lunch to make it through the day in more than 820 school and community nutrition programs. During feed tomorrow week, proclaimed by the City of Toronto, Toronto Foundation for Student Success, the independent registered charitable organization that provides support for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) students, will host events dedicated to feeding Toronto’s hungry students and nourishing hungry minds. Joining us will be ACE Bakery staff.

WHATACE Bakery 6-Foot Sandwich Snackdown Challenge
As part of their staff-led fundraising initiative, ACE Bakery staff will deliver 6-foot long baguettes to all 18 beyond 3:30 after-school program sites and work with our Junior Chefs to prepare amazing creations that will be enjoyed by all during snack time. Carleton Village Junior and Senior Sports and Wellness Academy, 315 Osler St., is “Snackdown Central”.
